Bipolar Vs. Monopolar

The addition of monopolar and bipolar energy wavelengths is what makes this treatment so customizable, and available to those with darker skin types.

Bipolar wavelengths are a more superficial, wider delivery of energy and is great for skin types 1-3 (Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can be a risk for darker skin types)

Monopolar wavelengths are deeper, more focused delivery of energy, which allows for treatment of all skin types. Most skin treatment machines only offer the bipolar wavelength.
