What is Thermage CPT?

Thermage Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT) system by Solta Medical is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy that can smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance.

How it works?

Thermage is a non-invasive treatment that uses patented radiofrequency energy and delivers this energy via a treatment tip to the skin. As the deepest layers of tissue are heated, the top skin layers are protected with a unique cooling spray. The treatment also involved a vibrating handpiece, which mitigates any discomfort during treatment.

The deep volumetric heating delivered causes the skin to tighten and new, healthier collagen is stimulated to produce and mature, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

What to expect?

Before the Treatment A vegetable dye grid is applied to the treatment area, which helps to ensure that the skin is treated evenly for maximum benefit. Next, a cooling gel is applied to the surface of your skin to ensure complete contact throughout the Thermage treatment. You’ll feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches your skin, followed by a cooling sensation to help protect your skin and minimize any discomfort. After the Treatment Your skin may have a slight warmness and pink flush, however this resides quickly and most patients can resume normal daily activities right away. Some mild swelling and pinkness may linger up to a day, although this can easily be covered with a light foundation application.
